Sheila Harris is a strategic communications leader, publicity strategist, and storyteller with more than 25 years of experience helping organizations, brands, and leaders build visibility, credibility, and meaningful audience connections.
She is the Founder and President of Harris Brand Management (HBM), a certified Minority- and Women-Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) boutique public relations and strategic communications agency that specializes in publicity, content marketing strategy, thought leadership, and brand storytelling.
Before launching HBM, Sheila spent 25 years in the Public Relations Department at ESSENCE Magazine, where she led national publicity campaigns, media relations initiatives, and red-carpet experiences that amplified cultural voices and celebrated excellence across entertainment, business, wellness, and community leadership.
Today, Sheila partners with nonprofits, mission-driven organizations, healthcare and wellness brands, faith-based organizations, authors, speakers, and entrepreneurs to develop communications strategies that elevate visibility, strengthen credibility, and create lasting impact.
Her work spans media relations, executive visibility, content marketing strategy, thought leadership positioning, event publicity, and strategic communications counsel.
She is also the host of the "Starts and Stops with Sheila Harris" podcast, where conversations explore faith, mental wellness, resilience, leadership, purpose, and personal growth. Through both audio and video platforms, Sheila continues her passion for storytelling and meaningful audience engagement.
